Implementation and Continued Maintenance and Project Closure
- The existing format that will need to be changed is converting the legacy system to a Virtual one. The local area network will be modified so that it can be remotely accessed.
- The type of production system that will be handled are Continuous and Intermittent.
- There will not be a need for downtime since the systems will be running parallel till the legacy system is uninstalled after two weeks.
- The integration will be communicated through the organization starting with the stakeholders and then all the way down to the employees.
- The new system will be deployed parallel with the legacy system and after two weeks the dated system will be phased out
Support and Maintenance
- One the project is completed there will be continued maintenance and support. There will be a two week training course for end users to get them up to speed on the new system. There will be two types of documentation. System documentation and user documentation. The system documentation will be written by the development team's programmers and will contain technical information about the system, and the user documents which will be training guides and user manuals that will be written by technical writers. There will also be a help desk available to handle technical issues that may be difficult to correct.
- The project will close with a final test and assessment of all changes and a review with the client on everything that was requested. Upon approval from the client and testers final technical documents will be drafted and the project will be terminated.
